MAN! FUCK THIS SHIT!

Yesterday I tried to log onto Blogger to post a new blog. I was greeted in Russian. The entire internet thought I was in Russia. My reaction after trying all night to fix it:

Tonight I fiddled with it a little more. Thanks to the help of the URL preview bar and Babel Fish translation I was able to figure out how to change the language back to English. I then realized that I was logged into a different Google account of mine which explains the Russian. New reaction:

A friend sent me this link, Days With My Father. I was bawling by the end of it!

Speaking of days with fathers... apparently my mother had an eventful one! My dad decided to propose to my mom today. I guess he forgot about their 27 years of marriage but my mother, ever such a loving wife, said yes(again). My mother had told the little story right after it happened in a Facebook post. I gave her a call to get the details and she told me that when she said "yes" he cried. When I got home from school that evening I found dad sitting in the living room looking happier than I had seen in a very very long time.
Mom said to him "Aren't you going to tell her the news?"
I asked dad what happened.
"We got married."
"TODAY!?"
"Yeah! We got married this afternoon!"
"That's crazy, dad! When did you propose?"
"This afternoon."
Mom pulled me aside to tell me about how he called to tell his mom and asked her if she wanted to call her parents to tell them the news too. Apparently everyone was playing along with this today.

It is apparent that this is a sign of progression in his Alzheimer's disease but it doesn't feel bitter at all! In fact, it was a lot of fun.
What a beautiful way to relive one of the happiest moments in ones life. It felt like a time machine. Like I could be there for one of the most important moments in my parents history that I wouldn't get to see in a normal world. My world isn't normal in the least. It's quite magical to me and days like these are the reason why it feels so magical. When I am home, common sense and logic are not what they are in the real world. I'd say that dad will even somehow defy the laws of physics. There is so much mystery, wonder and laughter in my household that it would make you wonder why others would pity us.
